John was recruited to our firm from a position with the United States Marshals Service (USMS).
John was the Chief Inspector and Administrator of the National Center for Judicial Security. (NCJS is responsible for providing expertise and senior level counsel to Supreme Court Justices, heads of police agencies, judges, as well as Ministers of Justice and military officials of U.S. allies.)
John was selected as the first Chief of Domestic Operations for the Marshals Service, and previous to that served as Senior Inspector in the Witness Protection Program and Judicial Security Division, respectively. During his career, John ran the protection teams for the U.S. Drug Czar, Supreme Court Justices, and foreign dignitaries at the U.N. General Assembly. As an Assistant Chief Deputy Marshal, he had oversight of emergency management, violent crimes fugitive task force, and protective operations for a large federal judicial district.
John was an adjunct instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center teaching protective operations and threat assessment. Additionally, he has authored articles in the American Bar Association, National Sheriffs’ Association, and the National Judicial College publications. He was accepted into the Department of State’s Fulbright Specialist Program for a rule of law security concept. John is a faculty member of the National Judicial College and continues to speak at events throughout the country.
John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Temple University and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in terrorism from St. Joseph’s University. He is also an alumnus of the Naval Postgraduate School’s Executive Leaders Program.
