Josh began his career as a protector, managing residential and commercial security teams.  He also worked alongside the United States Secret Service and the U.S. Department of State during numerous protective details involving high-ranking government officials and foreign heads of state.

Josh leads our Training Division and created GDBA’s Highly Traumatic Event Medical Response program detailing how to respond to mass casualty events.  He has trained thousands on lifesaving emergency medical skills. 

Josh is a licensed Paramedic who previously served in Los Angeles County, responding to thousands of 911 calls. 

Josh also served as a Firefighter for the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department and is trained in Fire Suppression, Rescue Techniques, and HazMat Safety.

Josh is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support by the American Heart Association.  He is also certified in Tactical Combat Casualty Care by the National Association of Emergency Technicians.
